"You must stay drunk on writing so reality cannot destroy you." ~Ray Bradbury
I have always toyed with the idea of blogging. I really enjoy reading my friend's blogs, on a daily basis I give in to my favorite celebrity blog (completely disregarding the fact that it is complete vulgar trash & should be working), and I have always been able to express my feelings better by writing them down than saying them aloud. So this afternoon, October 13th 2008, I finally decided to start a blog of my very own.
There are people that would NOT have painstakingly analyzed, over analyzed, hesitated, and then analyzed again about the decision to start a blog. They would simply started a blog. Period. I am NOT one of those people. For instance, I made the decision to start a blog around 5:30 today...it is now 9:00 and I am just now starting to write. Keeping consistent with my usual normal indecisive self I was unable to make a decision about the template, to include a picture or not include a picture, the title of my blog and so on it went for almost 4 hours. The ridiculous length of time it took me before all final decisions were made helped me come to another important decision regarding my blog. It is my blog. Mine, meinne, la mia. I am going to be honest, I am not going to exasperate over spelling and grammar and most importantly I am not going to worry what other people may think about my blogs! Oops! I've already broken that honesty thing...let me try again... I am going to be honest, I am not going to exasperate over spelling and grammar and most importantly I am going to TRY VERY HARD not to worry about what other people may think about my blogs! I am hoping one day it REALLY won't matter to me what someone else thinks and I will have the courage to throw self-doubt out the window. My boyfriend is probably the most "real" person I know. He is someone who truly does know himself and is not afraid to be who he is out loud. He is uncut, uncensored, and at times brutally honest. He is real. I hope my blogging with eventually lead to my own self discovery and one day allow me to be "real" too.
